Continuing Professional Education
RIDBC Renwick Centre provides continuing professional education, through a range of webinars, seminars, conferences and short courses, conducted by experts in sensory disability from Australia and around the globe. We can also deliver bespoke programs for educators, disability service providers, and health professionals in-house at your workplace.
In partnership with Macquarie University, RIDBC Renwick Centre delivers the Master of Disability Studies program across a range of specialisations in the areas of both hearing loss and vision impairment. The only degree of its kind in Australia, the Master of Disability Studies prepares education, disability services, health professionals, and others interested in working in the field of sensory disability to take on new challenges and make a difference in the lives of others.
RIDBC Renwick Centre conducts research related to (re)habilitation and education of people with a sensory disability, to better identify, understand and address issues, challenges and opportunities. Our world-class research has been used to develop and better inform practices in the field of sensory disability and to advocate for change, here in Australia and across the world.
RIDBC Renwick Centre offers a wide range of resources to support parents, carers, professionals and individuals with sensory disability. This includes the Rydge Family Library, Australia’s most comprehensive holding of printed resources in the fields of education and disability service delivery for children with sensory disabilities. Many of these resources are free or low cost and are available to professionals and the general public.
