Our preschool program
RIDBC operates specialist preschools for children who are deaf or hard of hearing, which operate on a reverse-integration model. They attend alongside children from the local community, who are excellent language and learning models for their peers. All children receive specialist education from our expert teaching staff.
Our preschools focus on language, literacy, numeracy and social skills.
Our preschools recognise the importance of the family in early learning and are designed to engage parents and caregivers in the program.
RIDBC has three specialist preschools that enrol children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
North Rocks, NSW
RIDBC Rockie Woofit Preschool for children aged 3-5 years learning to listen and talk.
RIDBC Roberta Reid Preschool, a bilingual (Auslan and English) program for deaf and hard of hearing children who are being educated with their signing hearing peers. Children can enrol in this program from 2 years of age.
RIDBC Taralye Kindergarten, an inclusive early learning program for children aged 3-5 years who are deaf or hard of hearing and their hearing peers.
