The Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) has designed a Community Fundraisers Kit to assist you in planning your own event. By becoming a Community Fundraiser for RIDBC your generous support will assist RIDBC to be able to continue to provide life changing programs for children who have a vision or hearing loss.

Fundraising is a fun and a rewarding way for individuals, schools, clubs, community groups and workplaces to support the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children. We rely heavily on the support of the community to provide our vital services to children who have a vision or hearing loss.

The Community Fundraising Kit is designed to help you organise your own fundraising event or initiative. The kit contains everything you need to know to get started, including activity suggestions and information about your responsibilities as a fundraiser. Once you have decided to fundraise for RIDBC there are just 3 simple steps to follow:

  1. All sorts of fun activities can be made into fundraisers – some people like to hold parties or family days out, and others like to do something active. Everybody’s different, so let your imagination run wild and come up with your own 

  2. Read our Community Fundraising Guidelines These guidelines have been developed to assist individuals, community groups and businesses understand the Community Fundraiser’s responsibilities when conducting a community fundraising activity or event to benefit RIDBC

  3. As a registered charity, our charitable licensing agreement states that anyone collecting money or fundraising on behalf of RIDBC must be officially registered. We are regularly audited and we need to be able to show that anyone fundraising on our behalf is officially registered to fulfil our guidelines, please complete the Authority to Fundraise Form Upon completion please return it to us, we will send you a Letter of Authority to confirm that we have received your details and have approved your fundraising activity
